Blackboard Wiki Out of Space

A student reaches out that their Wiki entry in Blackboard is reporting that it is out of space.

Cause

The user is copy pasting pictures to the Wiki post. This causes issues with the scripting of the text editor to interpret this as extra text and hit the 20000-character limit far before that is reached.

Resolution

Use the add content button to add locally saved content to the text editor. This will circumvent the use of characters toward the character limit when adding images.

1. Open a create Wiki Page to add content:
2. Click the Add content button:
3. Click the Insert Local Files:
4. Browse your local files to locate the saved image that you would like to add to your Wiki page and press open.
